Perfectionism Is Not Productive

Music Schooling - Online Music Lessons

For a while now I’ve been working on a business called “Music Schooling”. It’s an online service providing video modules to people wanting to learn instruments. You can pay a small monthly fee to have access to a huge video library taking you from basics to advanced music techniques and theory. Based rather loosely on the way Think Vitamin Memberships work.

I have a vision and I want to follow it through, I can’t get past my design stages. I want this to look great and blow the competition out of the water however I am constantly finding flaws in my design work, fixing them, then finding more and repeating! I’m getting nothing done because I’m being a perfectionist about my work.

I know how the business will functionally work, I’m just wanting to present those ideas in the best possible light. Am I right to make sure my design is the best it can be or should I be trying to find a happy medium of getting the design done and moving onto what makes money?
